Taking place in alternative 1921, a dictatorship reigns over the fictional land of Sylvania. In order to instill fear, a race had been created known as Golems. In-order to sustain her dynasty, Empress Lacombe created an heir with her blood and that of a golem. Regretting her creation, her heir (a boy named Adrian) had been banished from the empire. Free from his identity, Adrian had taken control of the Air Corps in a rebel state known as Centrailia.
