After suddenly appearing in a new world, Ulakei finds himself surrounded by wolves, fae, gods, demons, and strangest of all: Humans. One catches his eye when he's forced to share a space with Rune. An easily-flustered human with albinism, strange abilities, and a difficult past. The two get closer as they try (unsuccessfully) to keep out of trouble and return Ulakei to his own world, all while solving the mystery of how he got here in the first place.
