Past the distant stars and barren worlds of dark space, far beyond the reach of earth, the empire of Mekonia prepares for a war of extermination. An army of self-replicating and genocidal Artificial Intelligences, the Asurim, has spread throughout space unchecked for nearly two centuries, but now they are trapped. The young Mekonian Juvo, along with the other hundred individuals who managed to qualify, have taken this chance to try and spear head their destruction, by joining the Forward scouts.
