After 13-year old Kairi committing a accidental murder, she and her 11-year old brother, Katou both run away from their home. They arrive to a town, adopted by a man, who soon disappears. Fortunately, Katou and Kairi were able to stay at the man's home. Katou just wants to protect Kairi, who cannot walk (currently on a wheelchair), and find their Mom, back at home, hiding, so they can find a place to live together in peace. Whatever it takes.
