Ancient Rome was already chaotic. Then Nero got bored. Petronius, Rome’s elegant poet and master of satire, is trying to survive life at Emperor Nero’s court while writing his scandalous Satyricon. Unfortunately, Nero has other plans—usually involving his lyre, bizarre schemes, questionable poetry, and whatever strange idea has entered his head that day.
