Adelin is a reformed assassin who is trying to get back in the game, this time using her affinity for healing teas and diabolical poisons to aid the Prince of the land that saved her from genocide. Her introduction back into the art of shadows faces a hiccup when she runs into one of her presumed dead countrymen, Maksym, who instead of wanting to rebuild what they had lost and move on wants to see her new life and friends razed from the earth as revenge consumes him.
