After too many attempts at creating the “perfect Earth”, 26 randomly selected humans from various failed planets are given the opportunity to live as immortal demigods, as long as they can manage the last habitable world and keep it thriving. If this Earth shows any signs of death, humanity will cease to exist in the cosmic future. The main problem is that humans have a tendency to repeat their old mistakes, regardless if they’ve been living for hundreds of years or not.
