We need to talk about deforestation. Deforestation is the primary threat to the orangutan, and many other animals. The tropical rainforests that are home to the orangutans are incredibly important in the urgent fight against climate change. As well as being disastrous for wildlife and the global climate, forest loss can also lead to flooding and landslides, putting local people in danger too.
