Ilana can hear and talk to plants. To Ilana, all plants have souls and feelings, as they have always been her closest friends during her childhood. However, to others, she is no different than a crazy person who always talks to herself. Even her parents, who used to love her and trust her, also see her as a psychopath. Ilana’s uncertainty of whether plants do have souls or it is just her own imagination grows progressively.
