In the year 3071, Earthlings have colonized various planets throughout different galaxies. Mars, one of the colonized planets, must mine a rock like substance that provides mass energy in small quantities to keep the planet from becoming destitute. The Martian government has hired Slingers to guard these Steam quarries. This story follows a Slinger named Moses and his family as they try to stop a highly organized pirate syndicate from stealing what is left of the Steam and save Mars.
